Poured from 16oz can into a dimpled mug. Canned 8/4/23; the can calls this a "Tropical IPA".
Appearance: light golden hue with a nearly haze-free body and two fingers of frothy ivory foam which leave a nice lace on the glass.
Smell: sweet malt, with a fruity and earthy hop character. It's nice enough, but the berrylike fruitiness doesn't entirely work for me. There's maybe some earthy papaya aroma in there with the berries; it's kinda subdued.
Taste: earthy and a bit sweet. Again, some kinda papaya thing here that is tropical but lacks a zestiness, It's not bad, but it's not my favorite.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: I like Culmination Brewing and I think they do good work, but this beer is a little bit of a miss for me.
