Geitty vibe, and old firehouse, the inside doors covered in graffitti style paint and the rest is peeling paint and industrial feel. Concrete bar and a dozen tables. Cooler of to go beer. 10 beers on tap, varied styles. I have pints of Kolsch and Marzen since they were not one of the flagships I've had before. I had a pizza which was okay.

Made my way to this location with my cousin for a special release one morning. There was a line already starting but we managed to get everything we had hoped to try and it was fantastic. The service was good, the beers on this particular day were over the top, the vibe was fun. Overall it was a great time there but I haven't been back to this location since.

Down in Homestead - there are several Voodoo locations all with different character. Beer it typically good. Excellent here. Good service - mostly local crowd on this visit.

Talk about scuzzy! Voodoo Homestead looks cool, especially the exterior, but with the chalkboard paint on just about every surface inside, including the ceiling, it quickly becomes too busy and tiresome, as well as apparent that not a lot of love was put into re-purposing the space. It's still a fun place, especially after you get a couple drinks in you, but it just feels completely dirty.
Service is at the bar only, and not bad. Food can be ordered and picked up at a window in the back as they scream your number, and the food itself is not bad, definitely drinking food.
Selection is fairly large, but they apparently don't put a lot of their bigger beers on tap, if ever. The bartender told us that they only ever have one stout on tap, if at all. So if Cowbell is on--which it was when we visited--you could expect it to be on for a few MONTHS, with no other stout during the duration. This is very unusual and unlike a couple of local breweries I go to that put their high visibility, most sought after and flagship beers on draft in spades almost permanently. But here, it's mostly Belgians, with some IPAs and lager-like brews peppered in. This was an unwanted and disappointing surprise, as almost all of these beers were underwhelming at best. I would never think to go to a place in an abandoned fire station called Voodoo for uninspired Belgian-style beer. They also have some guest meads, and offer beermosas using their Belgian beers as bases, as well as straight up cocktails.

Stop #7 of 7 on our weekend of brewery visits in the Pittsburgh area. Stopped by on a late Sunday afternoon just before the Super Bowl, so the crowd was pretty small (no TVs in the place that I recall.) The bartender told us this was an old fire station that had been vacant for several years in the rundown part of Homestead. It's a cool vibe, and a fun place to drink beer. We weren't blown away by any of the dozen or so selections on tap, but we liked everything we tried. (Of course, they didn't have any of the Voodoo big guns on tap.) Voodoo Homestead is definitely worth a stop if you are in the Pittsburgh area.

Visited on a Friday evening around 6:30pm and the place was maybe 25% full with a eclectic group of people. The place was clean and laid out well. The overall space is small/medium in size and has a cool vibe. All the parking is on the street. The service was excellent. The employees were all friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. They had 12 beers on tap of varying degree of styles/seasonals and you can sample most of their stuff before purchasing. The have packaged bottles, growlers and crowlers to go. They have food available but I did not try it. There are a lot of choices in the PGH area but this one is worth checking out.

Located in an old warehouse, the inside is very cool looking with chalkboard style art on the ceilings. The doors were open up on a nice summer evening which gave it a sort of cafe style atmosphere. Very chill late during their Sunday hours. About 10-12 beers, half of which were the usual Voodoo brews, the other half seasonals and rotating releases- I had three of these and they were exceptional. Really great. Apparently there is often food via their own Foodoo truck right outside but unfortunately it wasn't available when we were there- we had thought it would and planed on eating there. Food hours are not clear on their website- but our visible in a photo of the food menu- so our bad I guess, still unfortunate. Only one guy manning the entire place but it wasn't crowded so service was good.

Voodoo Brewery Homestead P.A.
The location of this quirky brewery and brewpub is in very close proximity to downtown Pittsburgh and even closer to the main business district of Homestead. The spot seems to be an old warehouse that they have renovated and decorated with artyness and style. The decore is very hospitable to a hip and funky crowd who wants some interesting beers. The only thing about going there during the winter is that the heat is not very good in the place. So, if you are there and it is not packed then you have to keep your jacket on. They have a food truck that they own and operate with tastey bar food for munching. If you get a sandwhich it is pared with some potato chips. I think that if they were able to serve these with some nice fries it would step things up a bit. I always still feel empty if I have a sandwhich with some chips. I paid nine dollars for that and I would have been willing to spend a few more bucks if I could have had some fries with it, or a substancial side. That being said it is nice that they have food there. They opened this branch last year, so it is pretty new. There was only one bartender(one bar back) when I was there and I think if there were more people the service would have been quite slow. They most certainly need more servers on a Saturday night.
They keep the beers updated and have fellows working on keeping the taps flowing and ready for yah. I was hoping that they would have their imperial oatmeal/milk stout called Cowbell, so that I could give it a go. They didn't have any at first, but after I had a few they got it up and going. For some reason I thought it tasted like it had cherries in it that night. No idea why because it usually does not taste anything like that. You can get it on Nitro there and that ofcourse adds the creamy milkyness to it that you want. I had Wynona's big brown ale, Breakfast of Champions(coffee stout), Big Black Voodoo Daddy(Russian Imperial Stout), and Gran Met(Belgian Tripel). I noticed that their stouts were quite bitter, but had a good amount of complexity. The brown ale was also bitter and I did not like. The Gran Met Belgian ale was quite good. It was a bit stronger, but you don't taste the booze. It also has all those good yummy Belgium beer traits.
The bartender was good, but didn't provide mucn information on the beers. Also, I had no idea that they had beer flights of beers on tap. I think that if we would have known that from the start we would have chosen to get that. I am surprised that no one explained that to me and my buddy. Anyways, they are a great place to go experience a good atmosphere, drink good beers and chomp on some bar food.

Exactly what you'd expect from a small, local brewery. Around 10 beers on tap, all from Voodoo. Open, communal seating encourages a community vibe. No food, but you can order from nearby eateries. Dog friendly and they even sell treats for your pooch. In the summer, they open the huge garage doors of this renovated firehouse.

The two girls working the bar were helpful and patient. The place has some definite reno's to keep up with over time, but they've done well so far. Cool art. Board games. Dog and kid friendly. A little hot in the summer. But they have their own food truck. Which is kickass. Good amount of selection. Build a flights, or pre-determined ones. Cool place.

Visited on a Tuesday afternoon just around dinner time. It was kind of slow.
I compliment the management for picking an interesting location (an old fire/police station), which will certainly help the neighborhood in the long run. But don't blink there is no big sign for the place, just a sandwich board that I missed during the first three passes. Its right across from a playground.
V - In an old fire house / police station. Homestead has seen better times but this is a cool place. A bit dark and probably cold in the winter. A huge concrete slab of a bar - could use some padding on the front to minimize the wear and tear on the forearms. Chalk board a bit confusing. But this is the type of place in which I like to drink beer. 4.25
Q - They were having line problems with two beers and shut those down. Proper glassware. Glass washer. No complaints. 4
Ser - Friendly and accommodating. Both bartenders as well as another staff member (who was leaving and stopped at the bar for a quick beer) were quick to chat, talk beer and discuss the history of this new location. 4.5
Sel - Certainly a great variety of Voodoo beers. Had a six glass taster. A guest tap or two would be welcome. 4

Really cool vibe to this location, seems to be located in an old firehouse. However, the neighborhood itself is a little shoddy.
The beer is outstanding, as to expected with Voodoo. Always going to be a good selection here.
Bottles to go, and growlers, just like the original location. No food, though, though I think you can bring some in from the outside.

Very cool build-out in an old fire house. Some of beers on tap were pretty good, but mostly were just staple shelf beers. The actual location is not the best. I can see that Voodoo has jumped on the regentrification bandwagon in the Homestead neighborhood, but currently the surrounding neighborhood is a bit rough around the edges. I probably wouldn't want to walk around this area at night, without a weapon. Could turn out to be a cool little area in about five years or so.

If you have been to the Meadville location then you will be provided with the same great vibe at atmosphere. The ceiling chalk work is amazing and the renovated first floor is full of tons of character.
There is a good amount of bar seats, but the majority of seating comes from very long pallet tables. No food yet, but they are working on their own food truck and other food trucks will be worked into the mix. They do allow outside food.
They carry the same clothing items, glassware and takeout bottles as Meadville. They also had their barrel room collection maple syrup and honey.
