an all citra new england pale ale with a really snazzy looking label, i really havent had much beer from switzerland before, so this is a treat! neat that these majorly american styles are getting around the world so quickly, clearly we are still the land of innovation and trend setting as far as this sort of thing is concerned. i am a bit reluctant to have the rest of the world making american beer, especially from a yeast standpoint, i would hate to lose that diversity, but this is cool too, has its own twist, maybe the water is different or untreated or something, there is a rawness even though the beer is well refined, i like it a lot. its not as fresh as it could be, obviously a long way for it to travel to me, but its still very obviously citra hops in nose and taste, fluffy feeling and fuller bodied, minerals and wheat, straw and lemons, not super dry but on its way, a little starchy, a little lighter on carbonation than the style seems to demand, interesting for being simple, and a cool introduction to white frontier brewery, looks like a pretty interesting and competent operation...

On tap at Hagstravaganza, 2017.
Hazy bronze with crusty ivory. 4
Yeast and lemon zest. 3.75
Snap wheat, lemon pith, honeydew rind, cat piss, and grass. 3.75
Lt+, snappy, oily. 4
Over dry hopped, again - are breweries trying too hard with their festival kegs? Yeasty, too; feels like a hacky attempt at a NEIPA. Not the most graceful showing for Citra, either. Adequate at best. 3.75
