Made a trip over to "the NET" today, this was one of the few beers I haven't tried on past trips there. Served in a pint glass, the beer poured a hazy dark gold color with a half inch white head. Head retention and lacing were both decent. The aroma is wheat, lemon peel and bready malt. Taste is similar to the aroma, it mostly tastes like wheat with some lemon and orange peel, spice, and some bittering hops in the finish. Mouthfeel/body is light, with a good amount of carbonation (maybe a bit too much). Drinkability is good, it's easy to drink and enjoyable. I think it's a decent brew that I'll have again on my next trip there.

Sample at the brewpub (as Reefs Wheat). This brew is a clearn brownish-amber color with a thin and creamy off-white head that is fairly short-lived. Patchy lacing. Light fruity and wheaty aroma. Light, smooth body with mild sweet fruit and wheat flavors along with a hint of spice and hops. The finish is clean and fruity with a sweet aftertaste. Average overall.

The North End Tavern is the place old friends get together on Holidays when we're back home. Therefore, I am biased about the place and the beer they serve. However, the beer has always played second fiddle. The wheat seems to be the most popular and with good reason. This was the best of the four I tried tasted that evening and the one I stuck with the rest of this long night. Tastes of coriander and a bit too clear and straw colored. Average mouthfeel. Similar to a Blue Moon Belgium Wheat.
