Poured from 750mL bottle into a tulip.
Appearance: light golden hue with a touch of haze and a pretty strong effervescence. Head pours a big dollop of white foam but this subsided quickly to a thin layer of bubbles. The bottle nearly spewed when I opened it, this thing is so effervescent.
Smell: oaky, tannic and perhaps even a little vinous, with a ton of sourness. There is a hint of diacetyl here too; it's good, but could be a dash cleaner.
Taste: very tart, oaky, fruity and earthy. A very tasty and bright mélange indeed.
Mouthfeel: light body with a huge effervescence and big, ephemeral creaminess. Just what I like in the style.
Overall: this is one sharp, bright sour; the earthiness is a nice counterpoint to this and it is entirely quaffable.
