Pours a hazy orange body with a great with head with good retention.

Smells banana, oat and caramel.

Full body with sweet notes and high carbonation, some cinnamon can be felt.

Despite the sweetness, this is a refreshing full body beer that makes you want another one as soon as your glass is empty.

Great Hefeweizen beer made by my favorite brazilian brewery.

how fun to have a german style hefeweisen beer that comes from brazil! not a lot of brazilian craft making its way up, but from what i understand, the revolution is fully underway. this looks the part, a nice bright yellow colored hazy and heady brew that looks both rich and delicate at the same time. no visible sediment at all, although there is a smooth cloudiness. it smells and tastes strange to me at first, maybe a little tangy, maybe a little white wine, like the yeast has done something different. the wheat malt aspect seems right to me, at least based on german tradition, but the yeast seems odd and so do the hops. i need context for this, and i make it up in my head. a bit of brazilian terroir influencing an old world style. i start to like it more now, a fruity note to the yeast that isnt banana. maybe white grape or green apple, just a little tang there, and with the wheat it really works. there is a juicier hop to this than i am used to in german imports, more citrus, lime, awesome. there is the same creamy wheaty base mouthfeel i love in the best examples of hefeweizen out there, and its a cool base for the fruity flavors and the hops in this. maybe a different yeast strain or something, maybe just radically different conditions have morphed a familiar strain, but the result here is delicious and refreshing, even though its quite apart from the more traditional examples of the style. fun beer, very easy drinking.
