Hazy, light brown color. Small but lasting head which leaves a few spots on the glass.
Strong grainy nose with some definitive caramel smells. Semisweet.
Highly carbonated with a neutral body. This is a malty beer which is drier than the smell suggests. Darker crystal and chocolate malts are the key flavors. There's more bitter than sour finish. Shorter aftertaste.

On-tap: Poured a clear brown color Altbier with a medium size off-white foamy head. Aroma of caramelized malt notes with some dry cereal notes. Aroma of dry caramelized malt with some cereal notes and a dry finish. Body is about average with good carbonation. Well brewed Altbier with great drinkability and a smooth finish.
