What is this? This is a New England style IPA with Hibiscus and Lactose.
Now, I promised myself I will never drink any lactosed beers again, simply because I don't get this milky smoothness in the taste, not to mention that imho lactose oppresses most of the hops...
Well, here I don't really get the hibiscus either, just in its color and a bit in the aroma. It tastes a tiny bit sour but it is suddenly taken away by the lactose. My expectations would make me rate this beer an average of 3, but I am trying to rate it for its quality which is quite good. But not unique and not really intersting either. Sorry.
