One of my favorite 25 stouts of all time. Be aware this is nearly sweet enough to be a dessert stout.
Endless fresh espressos, lattes, drip coffee with ice cold cream, dark amber maple syrup drenched chocolate chip stuffed fluffy buttermilk pancakes… very elegant backdrop of bourbon barrel. Remarkable restraint with the whiskey/barrel notes makes sense here and pays off.
Massive explosions of maple syrup, coffee and rich huge stout all right away.. Whispers of tobacco, rye bourbon, vanilla, fig, campfire. The coffee is so delicately blended in. Despite its size and strength, very compatible with foods, especially red meats, duck, goose, red pastas, pomegranate and or pumpkin dishes, any dessert.
So insanely delicious. 1 million times more special than classic genius wizard.
