Picked up a can on a recent trip to Cape Cod. I've been a big fan of the Devil's Purse ESB but I think I've now found a new favorite from that still young brewery. The mix of the Maris Otter malt and Vic Secret hops results in a uniquely citric flavored Pale Ale - full bodied yet also quite light in feel. ABV of 5.2% seems perfect to complete the overall combination. I'll be purchasing more than a single can on my next trip to the Cape.

16oz can dated 4/23/18 purchased at the brewery. Hazy orange color and slightly citrusy nose. Orange and mango flavors come through. Not a blockbuster but its not meant to be. An easy drinking summer beer.

Pours a very cloudy muted yellow gold color with a foamy 3 finger head that settles down leaving a full coat of bubbles on the way down.
The aroma smells a little tangy, like on the stone fruit side, maybe apricot over a citrus base.
The taste is fairly similar with the apricot and nectarine flavors dominating. The body is a little thin - perhaps expected from a APA, though the ample hop flavor carries it very well. A moderate bitterness comes in mid way to take over from the hops but the finish is fairly clean with a pleasant citrus-apricot flavor lingering around. Very nice.
The feel is very soft which helps the thin malt body.
I was not a fan of the last Devil's Purse beer I had but this one is a great surprise. Just a huge amount of flavor out of a pale ale that is farily clean with no weird after tastes. Some may not like the stone fruit flavors but it works for me.

Golden orange milkshake. Candied tropical fruit nose, and taste follows. Very good NE style APA. Would buy again.
