Pours out looking hazy and pulpy... Clearly unfiltered. Yellow and orange hues, very active with a creamy white foam cap. A thin and scattered covering left over with minimal lacing.
The nose has some very interesting hop aroma's: sweet and tangy tropical fruits, crushed mint leaves, pineapple, floral array, orange citrus zest and wet earthy, leafy green effect down deep. Oranges soaked in vodka with a golden field grains smell in the light malty side.
Pulpy and thick, orange juice style mouthfeel greets your palate with a sharp crisp bite and dry edges. Then it's Peppery citrus, herbal zing and some boozy pineapple flavors. The hops become dry, earthy with a citric bitter pop in the finish. Tastes very much like an orange and grapefruit with black pepper and Grandma's herbal blend mixed in. Complex and sharp effect overall.
Middle Ground is full of deep hoppy flavor, perhaps a bit astringent with a bit too much boozy and high end citric tones. Keeps me sipping.
