Excellent with a meal or on its own, our flagship blonde is a crisp, refreshing crusher for any occasion. It features a similar grain bill of two-row & malted wheat and subtle aromas of tangerine and spice.

Served on tap in a goblet at Bartlett Hall in San Francisco.
A: Pours a clear, golden color with a less than one half inch head of white foam, low retention, and little lacing.
S: Bakery note at first, resolving to a light, more grassy and grain aroma. I thought it buttery at first, but that seemed to resolve.
T: Semidry. Again, buttery at first, resolving to lemon, later orange citrus, and finally a grassy/grainy taste with a bread note. Light bitterness, almost drinks like a lager-like ale by the end.
M: Light to medium bodied with light, persistent carbonation and creaminess.
O: Other than the off flavor up front, settled into a crisp, nearly dry blonde ale.

I had this beer on-tap in a Pilsner glass at the brewery.
Appearance: light golden hue with a light haze and a thin layer of white foam. Looks right for the style, though the head is a bit thin.
Smell: lightly sweet malt with a whiff of CO2. Light but appropriate.
Taste: quite grainy with a bit of sweetness. Maybe just a hint of hops at the end. Again, stylistically OK but not especially inspiring.
Mouthfeel: medium body with an OK carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: it's a decent enough beer, but it has to show a little more character to be a really great blonde ale.
