A full bodied stout that's just sweet enough to counter its bitter roast. The palate and aroma is dominated by charred espresso, campfire smoke, and mellow fruity esters from an English yeast strain.

Served on tap in a goblet at Bartlett Hall in San Francisco.
A: Pours a very dark brown, opaque to transillumination, except for some copper highlights. Light brown head with solid retention and rings and rings of lacing.
S: Aromas largely of coffee, molasses, and vanilla.
T: Sweet. Flavor similar to nose, largely cafe au lait, molasses, and vanilla. Bitterness in the background.
M: Full bodied with robust carbonation.
O: Delicious. Akin to any well made breakfast stout.
