Another selection from the dipa festival, this was my companion's selection for people's choice. I added the beer to this Next Glass owned database, and I'll also write a review for it. The hero, desperately needed, etc. . .
Pours dark golden leaning towards a light bronze. 1/4" white head. Interesting aroma, makes sense given a slightly not aroma hop bill going on. Eukanot, been awhile my sometimes friend. Otherwise a smell of mostly bittering trees. Wasn't the usual funny green trees that Columbus can drop so much.
The taste was the best part, plenty of west coast bitterness but not binding with a heavy malt bill. The opposite of balanced and in a good way. I don't want a balanced "hoppy" beer. That's dumb. Once, upon a time, I could lose myself. You got like a couple of varieties of trees here, pine, eucalyptus, weed vibe. Old school outdoor, none of that fruity cough strain stuff. Your Dad's weed. But with a hit of honey malt. That's what it tasted like at least, the beer grew on me.
