Copenhagen 11/4 2020. 33 cl waxed bottle from Mikkeller Webshop. Nerdbrewing's usual design with a dark background with lighter brown patches over-scribbled with information about the beer.
Pours opaque, dark brown with a small beige head. Settles as thin, flimsy patch of foam stretching over the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is intense with heavy sweet cake odor and a lighter bitter undertone of dark chocolate. Brown sugar in abundance, sweet dark barrel booze. Bitter dark chocolate and licorice.
Light carbonation. Thick, viscous, soft, creamy texture.
Flavor is intense and heavy sweet. Followed by a quite moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet and sugary. Lingering. Finish is with a boozy burn.
Pretty heavy, pastry stout with a notable boozy burn.
