Blind-tasted except for the beer's name/ABV% and brewery/country.
L- 'Deep-Coke' that black yet ruby colour. Clear,1/2mm tan head unsure if it wishes to exist. ps@+15mins later, it actually holds up ok for a beer of this ABV, it has a 3mm ring of foam around the edge - good job.
S- Savage. Whisky, massive whisky, then kinda plum pudding brandy notes.
T- Ohhhh. Deep and slow. Spiral down into British Xmas pudding. Add liquor splashed over, a paddling pool of excitement for the palate. Is that a whisky tang? Poophff the ABV% is naked yet indeterminate - I like it none the less.
F- Oh my God. Ha ha ha....
O- For a beer that still has an ABV% within the realm of reason, a couple of sips of this is like being transported off to another planet. I don't know how that works but by God it does.
Review/scoring all done, now the reveal, I get to read the bottle lables to see what I missed! --> Aged in bourbon barrels. Interesting to try and impressive, I suppose, but waaay too expensive to buy again at the price.
330ml bottle BB: 1/2/2026 £11.50 Bought from TremblingMadness, York/UK as part of a large pick-your own consignment to London.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
