Pours jet black with fine, chocolate colored head.
Smell is intense and very sweet with some roasted hints and notes of chocolate, licorice, cashews, coffee, oak, vanilla and chocolate truffle.
Taste is very sweet and intense with distinct rum notes upfront. Slightly roasted with backing notes of chocolate, coffee, nuts, oak, vanilla and golden syrup. A little bit of bitterness to balance the sweetness that is still a little bit too strong. Alcohol is expertly hidden.
Mouthfeel is thick, creamy and well carbonated.
Overall, a great stout that is just a hint too sweet.
