Awesome tasting room. Motorcycle seats, VW bus with seats inside it to have a beer in, just awesome.
Great people, great beers of all kinds of variety. S'mores Brown Ale is a favorite, would love to see a BA Imperial version!

One of the better breweries in Hampton Roads and definitely worth a visit.

The pros:

Service is great and the friendliness of the staff is unparalleled.

It's cozy, but has a lot of character inside (especially for being in a strip mall). The VW bus for seats, tables, games etc. make for a fine environment for meeting up with some friends.

It has a huge neighborhood vibe, seem to be lots of regulars, but at the same time is very inviting.

Prices are great - flight of 4 beers for $5.50 for instance.

They do have a relatively large selection and diverse menu (yesterday they had a blonde, brown, saison, berliner, gose, belgian, ipa, porter, RIS, cask porter and some others).

The cons:
In short, the beer is not good. I tried 9 and felt like I could drink more of 3 - the IPA, saison, and the Porter. I couldn't finish a couple samplers (cask porter, Berliner).

The cask was chocolate cherry porter yesterday and was possibly infected (I'm no pro so not saying for sure). The sour notes could have been from the cherries but were completely unexpected and unpleasant. A few of the intentionally sour beers (berliner weisse, gose) had the sour aspect but lacked most anything else in terms of a flavor profile.

Overall -
They're new and have a lot going for them. I'm glad I came in, but not really planning to go back anytime soon. I'm glad there is definitely a loyal local following and I wish them all the best!

Great brewery with a wonderful staff. I like the selection, but they did not have a lot of darker beer. With that being said they did have a gose and saison which was nice to see and tasted great.

Finally an oasis of craft beer located in the previously barren hinterlands of rural Chesapeake. They have a passion for beer and have plenty of solid offerings. Looking forward to their barrel aged stuff. Based on their test batches...they will soon be the kings of barrel aging in the Commonwealth.

Been every weekend since they opened. Like the guys working there and the family and friends they have working the doors and handing out tickets. SOOO Happy to finally have a brewery in Chesapeake! Keep up the great work!

Went during crowded opening and had great service in what is essentially laid back microbrewery in Chesapeake. They don't have all the gaming options like other places nor the space like one in Norfolk, but they have knowledgeable owners/brewers and quality beer on tap. Worth checking out if you're in the area.
