This fresh, German inspired ale has a golden color with a cracker-like malt profile. Couple that with the perfect balance of floral/spicy German hops from St. Cloud’s sister city Spalt, Germany and we believe we created the perfect session beer with a crisp, refreshing finish.

12oz can bottoms up date 8/28/22 into a Kolsch glass.
L: Pours nearly translucent medium gold w/a thin white head down quickly to a skin, large carbonation bubbles, no lacing.
S: Light yeast, sweet malts, lightly bready, a hint of grains.
T: Light citrus zest followed by waves of malts, honey, wheat bun, caramel, then lightly bitter with a linger.
F: Gently crisp & vibrant easy drinking med-light bodied mouthfeel w/a fairly fast, clean drying finish and a light linger.
O: A moderately malty & delicious American German style beer. I chose a Kolsch glass but this beer would be enjoyed equally from a traditional pint glass. It has a lovely utilitarian feel and well mannered taste. It is very good in it's style.

Pours a clear bright yellow with a thin white head, minimal lacing. Aroma is almost nonexistent, faint grain. Flavor is also lacking, some cracker and faint European hops. Feel is light bodied and only just adequately carbonated. Overall another so-so beer from this brewery.

Not a bad kolsch. Doesn't blow me away but it's solid. Refreshing with notes of citrus and honey. It's a little thin on the mouth feel.

Nice ale. Reminds me of a cream ale more than a klosch. Very nice body for the ABV.

This is a good German Ae. I’m not sure it’s truly a Kolsch style as much as a Kolsch-Alt hybrid. Pours a brilliant clear straw golden with low end head and strong lacing. Smell is bready sweet malt and little else. Taste is tart crackers, doughy malt favors and moderate German noble hops in the background. This is a nice, drinkable malty beer. It is definitely a lighter German Ale that I enjoy - but it seems to defy style.

A nice German inspired light ale. Clear golden color with a finger of head. Smells of crackers and peppery Noble hops. Clean, dry flavor that has a surprising hoppiness. Spicy and peppery flavor compliments the light malt. Easy drinking and interesting enough to keep drinking. Light body and lively carbonated. I enjoyed this session ale quite a bit.

This beer pours a bright gold with a large head. The aroma is remarkably fruit, with notes of under ripe apricot, white grape, and melon rind, as well as biscuit malts, orange peel, semolina, and coriander. The flavor is lighter than the aroma, starting with more of a crackery malt, the mild cantaloupe, orange peel and white grape. The mouthfeel is very light with gentle carbonation. Overall this is an excellent beer - good example in style with a wonderful aroma, but maybe a bit lighter in flavor and carbonation than desirable.

Poured from 12oz can into glass. Can notes: "THIS CRISP GOLDEN ALE IS BREWED WITH THE FINEST HOPS FROM OUR SISTER CITY, SPALT, GERMANY. SAY 'PROST' TO AN ORIGINAL TWIST ON A SESSION BEER."
Golden color body, crisp bubbly white head settles to thin cap. Attractive white lacing.
Cracker like aroma, with floral hops.
Flavor has the balance of malt and hops, with a grape like tone.
Crisp, clean and dry finish.
Presents itself well as a summer session beer, or a palate cleanser during cooler and cold months.

Pours a clear amber color. The head is frothy, but not too thick white color. Decent lacing.
The nose is not the best. It is a somewhat outputting aroma. Kind of an antiseptic smell.
The taste is, well, a bit of the antiseptic, a bit of sweetness, slight hops on the backside.
Moderate feel, actually full bodied for the ABV.
I am not a big fan of this. I have no idea if it's due to the water, or a problem with the recipe.

On tap at Red Paddle Bistro, Gunflint. Poured a clear, golden color with a small, fizzy white head. It smelled bready with sweet caramel. There's a hint of citrusy bitterness with a sweet malty backbone.

I wouldn't identify this as a kolsch and I don't think the brewery does either...maybe when it first came out. Either way this is a blonde ale with German influence....similar to Bemidji's German Blonde and also along the lines of Disgruntled Brewing's Toasted Blonde (which has american hops but leans malty).
This is an excellent beer. A lot of bready/crackery maltiness...perfect touch of spicy and somewhat unique noble style hops. Body is perfect. Not too big and not too light.
Great drinker. Good to see it in cans. Planning on a future blind taster of this, and the other two I mentioned at the top to see what shines the brightest but all three I think are fantastic.

Pretty unremarkable...touch of butterscotch notes. Muddled.. Haven't had this in ages and it seems to not be the same.
