12oz can canned 3/25/22 into a tulip glass.
L: Pours black w/a 1/2" smooth khaki head, recedes to a skin then to edge foam, low carbonation, light sticky spotty lacing & banding.
S: Toasted grains, cocoa, light molasses, light char.
T: Sweet chocolate, bitter dark chocolate, lime zest, molasses, char, darkly roasted grains. Lightly sweet on the lips, resinous lingering bitter finish, rich ,broad taste overall.
F: Lightly snappy, silky, medium full bodied mouthfeel w/a moderately long lightly drying finish.
O: Lots of chocolate involved with this tasty American oatmeal stout. Easy drinking, lightly sweet and quenching. Citrus zest, char & chocolate are well balanced and it is excellent in it's style.

A thanks to the incredible woodychandler for this beer. Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a black color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of dark malts. Taste is dark malts, some chocolate and a bit of smokiness. Feels medium.full bodied in the mouth and overall is a decent beer.

Good use of milk sugars. Tastes better on tap. The can version seems to have a mildly off after taste. Sadly another locally made microbrew that is priced too high.

This is the beer that got me off the "I don't like dark beers" train.
It's almost pitch-black, malty, with plenty of chocolate and more than sweet enough. Very easy-drinking and just plain tasty.

A: The beer is black when viewed from afar and poured with a half finger high tan head.
S: Light aromas of dark malts are present in the nose along with hints of chocolate.
T: The taste follows the smell, starting off with flavors of dark malts and finishing with notes of chocolate.
M: It feels nearly medium-bodied and a little smooth on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer seems to be a little lighter in body compared to other beers in the style, making it comparatively easy to drink.

Dark brown body topped with a thick, frothy and sticky light tan head; rings of foam circling the glass. The smell contains rich elements of sweet chocolate and cocoa with some charred grain notes. Gently sweet flavors of cocoa and chocolate dominate the taste with some low-key grain husk and hop bitterness in the background. Heavy body; smooth and silky with a nice sweetness on the palate.
A well-made classic stout styling, balanced and flavorful and very easy drinking.

Pours a clear but deep dark brown with a tan cap that recedes fairly quickly leaving decent lacing. Aroma is roasted dark malt. Flavor is the same roasted dark malt with hints of sweet chocolate and lactose. The feel is medium thick with adequate carbonation. Overall a decent enough milk stout but nothing special.
