Pours pitch black from the tap. 1 finger tan head. Head retention is good. Some lacing on the glass.
The nose is a deep barrel aroma. There's a bit of caramel. Slightly boozy smelling
Taste- wow! Really lots of barrel in this beer. Caramel. Chocolate notes. Raisin, plum.
Decent body, and fairy thick. Not really boozy feeling - no burn. A bit creamy.
This is a solid home run from Beaver Island. Highly recommend.
