Very dark brown with a highlighted ring around the top. It forms a pinky width of dark mocha crown that disappears quickly.
The nose brings figs and dates mixing with a ton of tobacco.
The taste brings in much of the same, but with an almost smokey cranberry. It’s almost like a winter dessert mixed with a lot of wine.
Overall, even though this really isn’t my preferred mix of flavors, it’s not a bad beer. It’s a slow sipper that’s packed with flavor. The best way to sum it up is it’s like having a pipe and a glass of red wine after eating a winter themed dessert.
