2013 bottle. Pours a soapy head. Peach orange color.
Reminds me of fou foune. Ripe peach flavors and some nuttiness. A light herbal and earthiness. Might be a dill or vegetable note faintly in background. The nose is incredibly juicy. Almond as it warms.
Very enjoyable and really surprised by this one. Didn’t expect it to be this good.

Surprise! Bottle at Moeder Lambic on 16 November 2018.
2013 bottle
Orange peach body with a small, off-white head that rapidly recedes to a thin layer clinging to the circumference of the tulip. Aromas of earth, nuts, funk, stone fruit. Tangy and tart flavor. Notes of apricot.
It was explained to me that this was a failed experiment originally intended for Zwanze 2013. After several years in the cellar, Jean Van Roy and Jean Moeder tasted the beer and were pleased with how it had developed. I am eternally grateful for the opportunity to enjoy such a rare treat. Santé!
