On tap. Poured a clear, golden orange color with a small, tan head of foam. It smelled of orange, pineapple and toasted caramel. Sweet tropical fruitiness with caramel and a sharp bitterness.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear copper color with small head. Aroma of citrus, grapefruit with hint of malt. taste of citrus, light fruit and malt sweetness. Nice bitterness and a fairly dry finish. Medium body, flavorful without being overly hopped. Tasty.

this doesnt drink anything like a double ipa, sure there is a little bit of hop burn late, right after the swallow, comes back a little fierce, but its not sweet or heavy or boozy at all, and the freshness and tropical fruitiness of the hops makes it just way too easy to drink a lot of! this is some of my first exposure to these guys, but i am learning they are great people making some really killer beer. this has aromas of christmas tree and honey, with more of a bitter orange hop complexion in the flavor, some pineapple notes, the right mix of kettle and dry hops, decidedly west coast and old school but todays standards, but i like the grain balance it has, and the bitterness it ends with, more complete spectrum than what is hot right now. juicy and fresh, oily and dense for just a second, but never overly aggressive. smooth feel with good carbonation and a frothing expansive thing happening on the palate, long finishing but minimally sweet. a really nicely made beer and i love the name! drink a few of them and land in someones lap! awesome.
