this beer is amazing, one of the most coconut forward drinks i have ever had, and its shockingly natural, not an artificial sunscreen vibe to this at all, just gooey coconut flesh, sweet and earthy at the same time, packed into a pretty impressive base porter as well, sturdy and roasty and clean in the finish, this is a really killer beer! the nose is like the coconut from the bag that you bake with, the shredded sticky stuff, wet not dry, a bit sweet and desserty, but also very true to the real coconut, it has a vibe like a macaroon cookie! soft and chewy and addicting. the dark malts are nice too, faint chocolate to them but not enough to make this taste chocolate dipped, more roast and bitterness than chocolate, providing needed depth and balance. its super smooth too, rich but not heavy, and silky feeling as it warms up. so much coconut here, about as much as can be packed into a beer i would think, i cant drink a ton of this, but i love the flavor. an impressive use and saturation of coconut in a very good porter. my first beer from these guys, totally turns me on. super nice guys here too. this is a gem!
