Large, dense head which leaves a web of lace as it recedes in a lumpy fashion. The liquid is dark amber/light brown in color. Hazy.

Strong semisweet caramel smell on the initial pour.

True to the English style, this is a malt forward beer. It tastes like a cross between deeply toasted white bread and regular brown bread. Predictable body and carbonation. The hop is not neglected even though it plays a secondary role. The finish becomes bittersweet and provides a long aftertaste.

Picked up at the New Days at the station near my place. Canned October 2019. Best by recommendation is June 2020.

Color is a deep amber with golden highlights. Quite opaque. Don't think I can chalk it up to chill haze, as the can was sitting out for quite awhile. Poured with a good looking white head, but it went away fairly quickly.

Aroma is very malt forward. Caramel, biscuit, and toasted nuts. Getting citrus from the hops as well. A very cozy aroma to this beer. Makes me want to curl up next to a fire. This beer can smell a bit onion-y right after its been swirled around or just after it's been poured.

The flavor is very toasty and a maybe a touch too sweet. Biscuit and caramel notes are present in this beer. The flavors could stand to be a little more forward, but maybe with the sweetness dialed back just a touch. The citrus from the hops is still present in the flavor as well. The bitterness is fairly restrained and helps to balance out the sweetness a bit. Overall, the flavor is pretty enjoyable.

The mouthfeel is a touch north of medium bodied, with moderate carbonation. I think it would benefit greatly to can or bottle conditioning. The smoother carbonation would benefit this beer quite nicely.

Overall, this is a pretty okay beer. It doesn't blow my mind, but I would be more than willing to visit it again. If you stumble across it, go ahead and give one can a go.

Bought a single 11.5 oz bottle $4.77 Don Quijote
Golden-amber color
Smell of wheat
Medium-heavy mouthfeel
Medium carbonation
Light bitterness from hops, some malt flavors
Overall an ok beer. Seems well made, but more of a good macrobrew than a good microbrew. Nothing to make you want to seek it out.

Pours clear amber with a decent bone colored head.
