350 ml can of Hokuriku (北陸) Beer from the 7-Eleven in Kanazaga Station near the brewery. Purchased 24 May 2018 and consumed the next day. The attractive can says "Japan Premium Craft Beer" and canning/BB date stamps on the bottom of 5/2018 and 11/2018, respectively.
Poured clear, dark copper-brown with a tall, thick, foamy beige head. Good retention.
Very smooth, medium-full body with lively medium carbonation.
Earthy-spicy hops dominate the malts in the aroma but fall to the background in tasting. Hints of toffee and faint dark dried fruits.
Overall: recommended.
