“Gosefish?” It was a pun too obvious to resist, making it the perfect name for a beer that’s just too good to resist! With its vivid pink hue, this beer has a refreshing blend of tart cranberry, tropical hibiscus, coriander, and a hint of salt - it's sure to hook you!

DATE: September 4, 2023... OCCASION: a double review of GF offerings--first DS's Birdie Juice, now another thirst quencher on a hot Labor Day evening... GLASSWARE: Baltika stange... this one pours a fantastic, mildly transparent pinkish red body alive with bubbles and an off-white, thinning disc of foam... flowery esters, with cranberry, butter, licorice, and lime are a pleasant, fragrant welcome... a bit mellow, compared with other goses I have had recently... its delivery is smooth, buttery and tart, punchy but pleasant... at 5%, more than crushable, with a low viscosity and a tang akin to fruit punch... juicy, salty, tart, and big for its ABV, the cranberry is impactful but blunted by the flowery esters... this is a victory, a beer that works better as a GF within this style, though it can be discerned that it lacks some backbone that makes others more powerful... a beer I will definitely seek out again, both for its unique easiness and for its GF accessibility...

hibiscus and cranberry in this one, and i think their gluten free motif works a little better in this sour ale context with the adjuncts than it did in their belgian wit, but i think its cool that they are bringing these kinds of styles to the gluten free folks. i assume this one is as well. its got a nice rose pink color, but not much head. the aroma is cool, not overdone with either of the additives, but both really come through naturally. the hibiscus is more tropical than floral or perfumey, and the cranberry contributes a mouthwatering tartness and juiciness that melds well with the bacterial sourness in this. the flavor is like that too, good balance between the interesting elements, well paired, and maybe some rice or something in the base here, a grounding sort of starchiness to it, passable for raw wheat or something more conventionally found in the style. i like this having a little body, way more than their wit had, it feels right for the style. still a little lighter on carbonation than i want it to be, but overall a really cool beer that i might choose even though i am fine with gluten, a very high compliment for one of these indeed. the cranberry is awesome at the end, the hibiscus isnt overdone, and the sourness is clean. good job with this, if i was a gluten free person i would be so stoked that these guys exist...
