Two pint cans picked up at Janell's Gluten-Free Market in Woodinville, Washington.
Dated 10/09/19. Poured in to a pint glass.
Look- Clear golden orange color, modest off-white head that quickly recedes to a foamy ring around the outside edges, light amount of lacing. Active carbonation streaming as it sits.
Smell- Lots of citrus (Big grapefruit, orange and lemon), some generic tropical notes (primarily pineapple), a little berry, pine, bready malts, light earthy/floral notes.
Taste- Malt is much more prevalent than in the nose, but not overly sweet. There's some citrus, pine and hoppy earthiness but the malt is dominant. A funky vegetal aftertaste in the finish.
Feel- Medium bodied, crisp and dry with a light bitterness that fades, pretty well balanced. Moderate carbonation on the tongue.
O- Not a bad IPA, not great, but not bad by any stretch. If someone offered this to you in a glass, you couldn't tell it's gluten free. At $4 a pint I probably won't be going back to this though.
