BATCH #3
A: pours a hazy light straw color with a prominent though quickly fading effervescence, short lived head, no lacing
S: nose is warm, smells like (spoiler alert) white wine with malt, pear and peach in small doses, dry subtle fishy aroma but not in an unpleasant way
T: immediately the malt marries together with the grapes for an interesting (and very hot) sensation, the grape flavor here is present but subtle and understated, no real hints of tartness, I personally would have used some spicy german noble hops here i feel like that would have been a nice touch, a subtle touch of bitterness is here but from the grapes not the hops. some of the vinous character i was looking forward to is not present which was disappoint
M: very dry but not quite mouth puckeringly so, could be a little less sticky
O:very good and very interesting, I think they are really onto something here, that being said i was a little disappointed. But it's definitely interesting. I would give it a try. I think a truly signature american beer style could be birthed out of this idea if it were further tinkered with and also manifested in such a way that it could be made year round

Grape juice to start. Involuntary shudders to finish.

Appearance: A very clear charred yellow with zero head, zero lacing, zero retention. Nothing very pleasing to look at.
Nose: Melon, kiwi, strawberry, slight green earth in the middle. open back up to green apple, with a tiny touch of banana. A very faint touch of sweet white grape astringency at the end.
Taste: Crisp and pleasant mouthfeel right up front, smooth white grape syrup, green apple tartness, some banana and malt undertones, finishes dry and crisp. Apple cider vinegar.
Notes: I was not quite sure how to rate this. It is easier to review than it is to assign a numerical value to say...it's appearance. There is no head or lacing, but, should there be?

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
