This wit is a good example of the style but nothing special. Looks a cloudy yellow haze. Not much head or carbination to speak of. Classic taste of Belgian yeast and light malt. Finishes easy and quickly off the palate. Not a complex beer or full really.

Look: Golden ale, somewhat cloudy. Wispy head of foam that vanishes quickly, no lacing effect.
Smell: Citrus, spice, wheat and hops. No one element dominates. Without getting overly pretentious, you have to focus on each one by blocking out the others. Overall effect is light and clean.
Taste: Very mild, almost bland. Notes of orange, coriander, wheat.
Feel: Light, slightly acidic, as clean as the nose.
Overall: A light, refreshing ale but not terribly complex or memorable.

On-tap at Cismontane Santa Ana, on to the beer:
Lemons must be in season, as this witbier is likened to drinking a sweet lemon with a dash of spice. The yeasty, fruity nose sets the mood right, and the beer does have a decent taste. It does maintain a refreshing character and is easy drinking, so as a thirst quencher this is a fair alternative to the many IPA's that dot the landscape.
