L: Poured from a bottle to a pint glass. Had a dark brown color and a thick, opaque texture. There was a small amount of foamy, tan-colored head that lasted an average amount of time. Good, but not great lacing.
S: A nice aroma of dark fruit, licorice, and some malt as well.
T: Tasted of a fair amount of roasted malt (not as much as expected), a bit of licorice, some molasses, a lot of dark fruit (plums, raisins, in particular), and a tinge of chocolate. A decent enough flavor that's more focused on dark fruit than anything else. Not bad, but not remarkable either.
F: A below average amount of carbonation with a somewhat slick finish. Medium-bodied.
O: On the whole, this is a drinkable porter, one with better character than most. It has its flaws, but it's worth a look.
