A- poured from cask comes out black with a nice tan head with ample lacing.
S- coffee, roasted malt and dark chocolate dominate just like the regular Black's Dawn. This version however does have that hint of mint but did not have much spice in the nose.
T- perfect. Coffee and roasted malts lead the way with a bit of chocolate. The back of the tongue gets that hit of mint though not too much, just enough to balance out the bitterness. Finally the heat hits just enough at the finish.
M- thick and creamy just like the original.
O- Black's Dawn is a very good beer this version is very near perfect.
