Brief notes due to a subpar review environment @ the Bow Bar in Edinburgh. Served on cask.
A: 7 minute head of khaki colour and inconsistent thickness. Not as creamy ss would be ideal, but soft looking and appealing.
Sm: Subdued, if not muted. Vanilla, cream, obvious lactose sugar sweetness, shallow coffee, a kiss of coffee roast, shallow chocolate malt. A restrained light weak aroma. Not the robust chocolate-and-roast aroma one might hope for.
T/Mf: The weak body, undercarbonation, and tepid serving temperature shriek cask ale, to its detriment. This would easily be better from the keg, CAMRA be damned. Muted subdyed notes of chocolate malt, faint vanilla, cream, and a glimmer of coffee roast. Well balanced though shallow. Slightly coarse, which works well to bring out the roast abbit more. Adequate complexity. It's just a shame the mouthfeel holds it back so mych.
O: Put this on draught dispense and it might easily be a "B." Drinkable, but a shell of what it could be. There's promise here, but it's a shame there's such squandered potential. It has all the makings of a good beer, but the cask dispense destroys the mouthfeel.

Best thing ever. Tasted like a mochachino beer. Liken it says!
