L- So hazy it feels hard to simply guage the colour, likely mid>deep amber, pours with 1Cm foam head (holds up pretty well).
S- The smell first hit me from 50Cm away when I first popped the can. In the glass it's very NEIPA, hints of lychee ? with solid citrus notes alongside. The typical NEIPA 'fruit cocktail'.
T- The latter smell^ always has me on alert as the taste can then be either waaaay over-hopped/dry, or tasting like an 'Alco-Lilt' tropical soda instead of a beer. This does not go down that avenue. It's clearly NEIPA but the palate has balance, it's not blunt, being more refined, contemporary styling yet a classy interpretation if you like.
F- Modern, fruity hops mostly towards the citrus/aromatic side. On the dryer side of things too. No aspect over-prominent, so perhaps quite grown up for a hipster style beer.
O- I'm not born for the NEIPA style, just thought I'd try this one as it's new to me. Such beers end up as being 'death or glory'. This one does well, clearly of a contemporary style but not trying to be over-clever or bludgeon out-of-balance character at you. It's still somewhat fruiter/dryer than I'd usually go for in a beer but for NEIPA fans who prefer balanced style over blunt-instrument this might be well worth giving a try.
