250ml bottle 12.3% 'Barrel aged Moccachino Stout' bought from TremblingMadness/York for home delivery £5.10 BB: 01/10/23
L- 100% black, even with a halogen behind. Pours with 1mm tan head.
S- Cocoa coffee and vanilla.
T- BOOM! Cocoa, smaller coffee but it progressively builds a lot. Brief blast of ABV% < honestly, a real boom! there. Licorice note, overall not OTT at all, really pleasant.
F- Rich slow-sipping. Ideal for Xmas. Isn't getting over-rich (yet?) @ +15mins after pouring and just 1/3rd of glass left.
O- Rich, choco, straight down the line liquor; perfect for winter. Could drink as an alt to post dinner liquers or port! Would happily buy again, what a very fine and distinctive beer this is. (ps I lean to rating a bit conservaively vs others it seems, but this should land in my top 5% of c1500 beers to date, it's that striking and good).
