Scottish pale malt, malted oats and wheat make a light and fresh base for the hops. Added at three stages of fermentation, Talus, Bru-1 and Citra bring juicy pineapple, pink grapefruit and resinous notes.

this is great, the only one i had from these guys while i was in scotland, but a memorable pint, unfined ipa they call it, just full of character, a little more american and modern on the hop side than a lot of the ipa types we had over there, dry hoppy and sort of with that biotransformed pungency without the burn or bitterness, but high saturation for sure, this is very very tasty. softly hazy yellow, kind of pineapple juice colored, creamy white head from the tap with good retention, a little lighter on carbonation overall but its just fine for this, light bodied comparatively so its not heavy to drink at all. strong fruitiness here, champagne, white peach, nectarine, green grape, muddled lemongrass, melon rind, nice and fresh and with just a bit more malt to it than a lot of these have in terms of depth and how it smells, its not all oats and wheat, although there is some of that, a light granola thing, just right with these hops, cleanish ferment, punchy without being bitter, this is bold by the standards of scotland i reckon! the flavor rules too, nice and fresh, very juicy, orange melon and pineapple, lemongrass again, light sweetness which really flatters and accentuates the hops, lower bitterness, super fruity white wine, white gummy bears, not cloying though, easy drinking too, not as dense as maybe it looks. lots of personality in this, the hop profile rules, and i think this one would play in the states. a shame i didnt get to drink more from these guys, but this was a splendid pint! real dialed in, i like the simple straightforward branding too.
