Bottle to mug, the appearance was a semi-dark amber to brown color with a small white foamy head that slid off fairly nice. Stringy sliding lace. The aroma had some walnut sweet and roastiness, some leather, subtle milk chocolate, driftwood, cedar, coffee beans and some earthy hops. The flavor yielded to the walnut roastiness at first and lightened up with the sweetness from the chocolate and nut sweetness. Slight aftertaste of the walnut, and earthiness. Semi-dry finish. The palate was between light and medium bodied with a good sessionability about it. Carbonation felt good. ABV felt good. Overall, pretty good brown worthy of coming back to.
