a pretty tasty session type wheat beer they are doing here. it has quite a nice hop kick to it, more than is common in the typical small brewery everyday wheat beer. its also a little cleaner, both in looks and feel, less haze leftover, and almost no appreciable yeast flavor at all. absolutely not a wit or a hefeweizen. where yeast might normally be in the flavor, there are hops, which seem to me to be a northwestern C type, cascade or centennial or something big and piney and bitter. they arent overdosed, this comes nowhere near the hop level of an ipa, but it gives it a flavor boost right where its needed. the flavor of the wheat malt is fresh, but very very light. this is a summery beer, perhaps not substantial enough for colder weather, at least in my opinion. i like that its hoppy, and its also carbonated much better than some of the other beers here were. if you happen to be driving through wyoming on i25, do yourself a favor and stop in here. it makes a heck of a pit stop, and a lot of their beers are light enough you can have one or two and keep on driving no worries. i liked it a lot in here, and this wheat is a good place to start with their beers.
