i love the name of this one, and find it to be a pretty solid beer, my first from these guys. what a cool place this is, they have a great thing going, and for the most part the beer was very good. this brown is a little strange, doesnt seem to be a true english one, i dont taste much yeast in here, and it looks almost more like a red ale in the glass, short head, hazy, but not brown, rust color i suppose, not unappealing at all though. smells good, lighter on the chocolate malt than some, with more of a crystal malt sweetness in its place the mid-palate. a solid bitter hop profile to it, but perhaps a little less on the dark grain than i would prefer in the style, comes up light a brown ale light or something, super drinkable though, especially at this really low abv. its not watery either, and although it lags a little on carbonation, it has a smooth and richer feel to it, which i appreciate in a low abv beer like this. it is not without its flaws, and definitely wasnt my favorite beer i had here yesterday, but its a unique take on the style and worth trying.
