Bottle: Poured a cloudy orange color ale with a large off-white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of juicy hops with nice floral citrusy notes and light grapefruit notes. Taste is also a mix of huge juicy hops notes of citrus with some grapefruit notes and some residual sugar notes with light bitterness. Body is full with limited filtration and good carbonation. Another superb IPA from a fine brewery.

A:
Pours a hazy pale gold with three rock solid fingers of smooth off-white head, slow drop to a rocky finger with diverse, clumpy lacing. (4.25)
S:
Rich, juicy grapefruit. Fresh grapefruit, bitter orange potpourri, touch of lemon zest. (4.25)
T:
Lordy! Same juicy bittersweet ruby red grapefruit flavor with some other citrus fruit hints and a faint biscuit malt spine. (4)
M:
Softish but pretty tangy bitter resinous as well. Light-plus carbonation, lingering citric bitterness. (4)
O:
Extremely tasty beer right here.
I gotta say I was not expecting great things from this, but wow. Pours nice. The aroma and flavor are just what they should be, lots of grapefruit and bitterness but it is definitely not the center. I know that citra has grapefruit flavors but this is the first beer I've had that this closely resembles grapefruit. It should also be noted that (assuming the name is honest--it tastes like it is) this is the best single-hop IPA I've ever had from Quebec and if I were to look at single-hop IPAs from the states I've had that captured the hop essence and didn't feel thin or hollow like this one, it would be situated among some pretty amazing company.
Nice beer. I'm glad I bought myself 2 on a whim.
(4.25)
EDIT: I revisited this one a couple weeks after my first and it had definitely fallen off. I also imagine that my initial surprise that it didn't suck had worn off. I have changed the taste and overall scores accordingly (I originally had both at 4.5). Also the mouthfeel (originally at 4.25). On the whole it was still very good, but not nearly as substantial feeling and the taste was a little hollow. Good, but not as good as the first, oh well...
