Can: Poured a hazy orangey color ale with a large white foamy head with good retention and some good lacing. Aroma of dank and citrusy floral undertones with some light warming alcohol notes. Taste is also a mix of floral undertones with some dank and citrusy notes with light tropical notes also perceptible. Light amount of residual sugar notes with some warming alcohol notes also perceptible. Body is full with excellent carbonation. Enjoyable but not sure the high ABV is actually necessary.

A:
It pours clearish gold with a finger of short-lived white suds. Meh retention; confetti lacing. (3.5)
S:
Under ripe tropical fruits, old rag, orange pith, sugar cookies. (3.5)
T:
Not much to speak of. Sugar cookie malt, green hop whiff, lime zest, alcohol. (3.25)
M:
Boozy, thin, slightly astringent. (3)
O:
Meh.
This starts off well enough but is kind of hollow, faded and over-boozy. Not really to style, either. It pours nice enough. Not much head sticking around. The aroma is tart tropical fruits and a weird (oxidized?) smell that calls to mind old rags. The flavor, while not bad, doesn't have a hoppy punch (though it is a little fruity) of any sort and verges on having too noticeable of alcohol. It is dry and warming with moderate carbonation. Not very good. Too big for starters, but I also know there are people that make NEIIPAs this big work so maybe it's something else. (3.5)
