16oz can. Label stamp has the date of '08/07/2023 13.54'. Label emphasizes that the beer is 'USDA ORGANIC'.
Cloudy, deep gold colored body. Because of the prodigious amount of foam, it took three pours to get the beer into a 0.5L glass. Eggshell white head settles back to a thick cap and high ring. Leaves behind thick entrails of lacing.
Aroma is redolent with toasted malts, very bread-like. Earthy/herbal hops.
Taste is malt heavy, with a caramel intensity. Hop flavors that are earthy and floral, with a slight bitter note at the end. Also a mineral note, but no sulfur.
More than medium mouth feel. Dry finish. Excellent carbonation.
Very much like dark bread in a glass. Middling for style.

From a tall white can, this is a copper colored liquid. Semi-slim white head...not a lot of lace. The aroma is a pleasant mix of malt, biscuits, and bread crust. The taste is a little more dry than I expected. Full body. Not bad, but not the best Oktoberfest.

On tap. Poured out a dark, dark amber color with a small, off-white head of foam. It smelled of roasted malt, toffee and floral notes. Nice malty taste with just enough bitterness.

Dark tawny orange amber, a little hazy with a decent head and a speckled halo of lacing all around the glass.
Aroma is nondescript at first but has a nice tea leaf note as it warms up.
Taste is dry and grainy, malt forward with a crispness from the yeast. Smooth and toasty, finishes nice and clean. Flavorful and easily drinkable, thankfully not cloyingly sweet like many American imposters. Would pick this up again.

Good stuff. This was definitely grainy, and malty, with a bit of toast in there for good measure. Definitely dryer and not sweet like many of the Americanized Oktoberfest beers. It's a nice change of pace and a great ode to the more traditional versions of the style.
