Taste: rich, malty, sweet as they come, raisins, toffee, vanilla, smooth, but some alcohol bite. Same with the nose. Mahogany/copper hue, mostly clear, tan head some sticky lace. Medium/Full body. Warming finish, good purchase. 28 IBUs

Pours a dark reddish brown with a fair amount of gentle haze and thick finger of plump light tan foam.
Richly sweet notes of molasses and caramel mingles with an enticing dried fruit aroma.
Sweet caramel, molasses, and the dried fruit notes come out in flavor as well, but seem less balanced than in aroma.
Full-bodied, medium carbonation, sweet, thick, semi-chewy.
Overall, quite an outstanding scotch ale here, do not pass this one up.

Had on tap. Dark brown somewhat clear body, full tan head with bands of lacing. Molasses, caramel, and dried dark fruit given great contrast to the earthy malt and yeast. Taste adds peat, lightly toasted bread, and a kiss of dark nut. Feel is medium bodied that is malt driven but the drier yeast elevates the finish. Might be the best AtB beer I have had!
