American Pale Ale brewed with rye malt. Spicy malt background complements and balances a tropical and citrus forward hop flavour and aroma.

Hazy light amber with a solid head and lacing. Citrus hop nose. Medium malt body, some spiciness from the rye. Good balance between smooth and crisp

Beer #2 from my most recent CANBIF. I This is a great looking beer - hazy, lasting white head that leaves sedimentary lacing. The smell is somehat muted - faint stone fruit with a bit of rye spice. I am not usually a fan of rye beers, but this one is quite pleasant. The malt, rye, and hops all merge together to make a darn refreshing APA!

Pale copper with an unstructured off white head that leaves moderate lacing. Aroma restrained citrus, caramel, dried fruit. Taste includes a slight spice from the rye, pruny sweetness, apricot, and some banana as it finishes - fruity, piney, grapefruit hops. Full in the mouth.

Pours a copper gold, opaque, with a very fluffy two finger white cloud. No retention but fairly good lacing.
Citrus nose with some rye spice. Very mellow flavours, hints of rye and some stone fruits, peaches come to mind. A long drying finish. Overall a nicely balanced brew between hops and rye.

Can: Poured a bright clear amber color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of citrusy hops notes with light spicy rye notes. Taste is a mix of spicy rye notes with some citrusy notes with light residual sugar and subtle cereal notes. Body is about average with good carbonation. Refreshing rye ale with just enough hops character.

Quick review from memory: Poured a hazy orange gold with a nice thumb or so worth of head. Really nice lacing. Smell was citrus fruits and tropical. Taste was a nice and hop forward, with a nice malt support. There was a nice finish to the beer with a lingering aftertaste. The feel was on the thinner side with a fairly crisp finish.
A nice APA, very easy to drink. Trailway has had a nice streak going with their beers, hope they can keep it up.

A nice beer, with an opaque yellowish- orangy color. The taste remind the other beer I had from this brewer. They are almost all the same. Probably due to the same hop they use or the yeast. The concept is original with the same can with a glue on sticker that you can remove easily. If you are in sticker albums.
I will try all the beer they have to offer, but the taste of a coupe are almost identical.

L- Pours a hazy orange amber topped by a 1/2 finger white head with decent retention. Loads of lacing.
S- Dank, Pine-y hop aromas dominate this brew. Not getting much else.
T- Same hoppy flavours from the aroma with the addition of a good malt backbone. Just the right amount of bitterness.
F- Medium body and moderate carbonation.
O- A very flavourful, drinkable APA. Not as "balls to the wall" as Trail Way's IPA's but theres still lots to offer here. Thanks to an approachable ABV (5%), this is definitely a contender for an all-day summer brew.
