Pours s slightly hazy straw yellow almost like pineapple juice with a lively off white head that collapses rather quickly to a thinnish ring that still leaves good lacing. Aromas of tropical fruit, citrus, both of which carry into an appealing complex body: melon, honey, pinapple, citrus. Outstanding.

I visited the brewery for the first time and it looked barely larger than a house, located in a very unfriendly, industrial area. I bought a couple of options available in their retail area (not a store, really), including this one, of which I purchased two, as I expected good things.
My hunch wasn't off.
Paper Moon may not look like anything special, but its nose warns you: don't mess with me. It smells more bitter than most IPAs and the taste is similarly uncompromising. It even burns the tip of your tongue a little. I'm thinking it's the Vic Secret hops, as I had Mosaic before (also included within) and I don't recall that one to have this kick to it.
Yes, the beer is still a wee bit thin, but the hops make up for a lot of it. Overall, a decent contender.
