On tap at Carrie Furnaces in Pittsburgh, PA.
This one pours a very dark black, with a small mocha colored head, and no lacing.
Smells like nice roasted malt, dark Belgian chocolate, and coffee.
This is another really nice beer from Insurrection- they're doing some very nice things. This is appropriately creamy and thick, with a really nice earthy roasted character, some chocolate, and coffee. It's a classic combo that's been done many a time- but that doesn't mean I'm not impressed for how well it's done.
This is creamy, and very full bodied, with a good level of carbonation for the style.
Insurrection definitely needs to be recognized as a really solid brewery.

Pours a dark black color reminiscent of dark roast coffee. Off white head leaves lacing throughout the session. Aroma is richly malty, with notes of cocoa and mocha coffee. Clean chocolate and black parent malt flavor. Full bodied, well carbonated brew that lingers on the palette. Overall, this is a delicious, well made, stout.

This is a really good Russian Imperial stout. It stands up with the big boys, Founders Ris and Cigar City MZ.
