Backswing Brewing Company

Small brewery in industrial area on the south side of town. Taproom has small bar that seat maybe 7 or 8 and outdoor patio area partitioned off the parking lot. Was a quick stop for me, I enjoyed their IPA. I hope to make it back there before to long.

interesting little place here in that the beer is about as standard as it gets, you know, wheat, pale, red, brown, that sort of thing, the beers dont even have names! i found that kind of weird, seems like craft beer is going the opposite direction, so i was surprised to see such a simple approach, it did not all the way appeal to me, although the two beers i drank in here were both technically good, they just didnt excite me in the least. i like the space though, small and relaxed, with some tvs showing sports and a view to the rather spacious brewhouse back there, i think another local brewery was in this space first, if i heard correctly. service was fine, but didnt know a thing about the beers. the people of lincoln must needs some simpler beer options, and it was pretty busy in here, and people seemed to into it. for me, this is just to unexciting to be cool from a beer standpoint, even if the beer they are making is solid, its just so pedestrian and generic. i hope to see a little more innovation in the brewhouse when i am back in town next time... cool space to hang though...
