May 19th, 2015 - Sour wheats are a fun and uplifting springtime beer, and Half Door provides a nice entry with their bright and citrusy brew. Light notes of pear and apple make up the base of the aroma, which is then dusted with cinnamon and a little white grape juice. The flavor is light with a fluffy, cotton-like palate, and a touch of popcorn and lemon. Good stuff - even if that popcorn note is an off flavor.

A: Moderate lemon, coriander aroma, coupled with a clean tangy lacto sourness.
A: Bright yellow color, hazy, with a thinnish white head that forms a ring around the glass.
T: Moderate lemon/coriander flavor with a citrusy almost lime like clean, tangy lacto sourness with a touch of salinity on the finish.
M: Light bodied, moderately high carbonation and effervescent.
O: Really tasty; the beer has a great lemon aroma and flavor that well complements the clean tangy lacto sourness.

Fruity, tart but not too puckering. A lot of fruit character close to mangos or peaches. Very good Berliner by a new brewery. Great carbonation and the head dissipates pretty fast. Pours a bright yellow in color and the nose is pure fruit. Acidity is there but not overwhelming. Great brew for the summer.
