The wife and I walked here from the cruise terminal well we wer sight seeing took. Small indoor seating area that no one was in and some open air seating that was shaded. 8 or so beers on tap and a cider with a couple of guest taps. We had food that was decent and the beers were good to great. Nice place for a brew.

Not horrible by any means but not super amazing either. After landing in Barcelona, this was our first pit stop. Its located in a fairly touristy area, near the water so, as you'd suspect, authenticity goes out the window just a wee bit. The service was fine. Every employee that I could see was female and they were just nice enough to keep me content but didn't go out of their way to make us feel at home. Food was sort of meh. We ordered nachos and potato skins; nachos weren't great, the skins were better (and had a fried egg inside, not bad).

The beer selection was actually pretty good. They had an array of styles and about 12 taps. I had some sort of "special' raspberry stout and a saison. The stout was a little on the fruity end but paired well with the food. The saison was nice and mellow.

BlackLab is a cool little brewpub right off the beach in Barcelona. It's got a small bar with small rooms off to the sides, but there's lots of room outside at umbrella covered picnic tables almost year-round. It's been a while since I've been there, and they just celebrated their 2nd anniversary, but I think they've got 20 taps pouring beer with a good selection of their own as well as guest beers - maybe half and half. They do a wide variety of styles that cover the globe (American IPAs, German Schwarzbiers, Belgian Saisones, etc), and they're all excellent.

You can stop in for lunch or dinner, or just a pint while strolling around, or go late night for one of their many concert events. Or you could just grab a growler and go to the beach (I'm not sure how legal that is, but it's what I was told to do, and late at night there are plenty of young people walking around the streets with beers right out in the open so I assume it's cool as long as you are). As for food, it's Barcelona so I probably don't have to say anything more than that - I've never had a single bite of food that wasn't excellent anywhere! It's a town that takes its food seriously, and Black Lab beers are an example of that. Well worth visiting!
